Information we collect

We collect the files you upload (slides, transcripts, recordings), basic account information, and minimal usage data needed to keep the service running. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.

How we use data

Uploaded content is processed to align transcript paragraphs with slides and produce study notes. We may analyze aggregated, anonymized metrics to improve processing accuracy and reliability.

Storage & security

Files are encrypted at rest and in transit. You can delete your uploads at any time, and we purge inactive data on a regular cadence. Access to production systems is limited to the core engineering team.

Third-party services

We rely on trusted infrastructure providers (e.g., cloud hosting, email) to deliver SkipLecture. These partners only process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality obligations.

Your choices

You may request a copy of your data, ask us to delete it, or revoke consent by emailing [email protected]. We'll respond promptly.
